I want to make screencaps from a dvd on my desktop computer. I have windows vista, what programs or software do I need ? How do I do it ?

I already have Roxio Creator, can I use that or is that a stupid question ?

First of all I've seen everyone asking: "How to you make screen caps?". Well I know a fast and easy way to do it if your a beginner! To complete section two steps you must have Microsoft Movie Maker 2 for Windows XP. Microsoft Movie Maker comes standerd with most Windows XP Home Editions. If it comes standerd with your computer you still have to download the latest version here.

SECTION 1
If you already have Microsoft Movie Maker 2 than skip this section.

1. Go to Movie Maker Download Page.

2. Click the "Download" button.
3. Complete the steps of the installation.
4. Microsoft Movie Maker 2 is now downloaded on your computer!

SECTION 2
Using Microsoft Movie Maker 2 to make screencaps.

1. Go to the link of your selected movie
2. Right-click it and click "Save Target As"
3. Name the movie
4. Click "File" then "Import into collections"
5. Choose your movie
6. The program will automaticlly cut your movie into scenes.
7. Click on a scene.
8. When you see the picture you want to take press the "Take Picture" button located underneath the screen.
9. ENJOY YOUR NEW SCREEN CAP!

TIPS
-If your screencap comes out blurry keep trying until its clear
-Just can't get the picture you want? Hit the pause button and move the little thing that scrolls through the movie. It will move slower
