This is probably so @@@@ed obvious to all here that you'll at least enjoy a good laugh at my expense.

I am in the uk and have a Sky+ sattelite tv system. Sky+ is essentially a hard disc recorder. I have just been given a new laptop for Christmas it has a DVD recorder built into it. As the Dvd attached to the telly is only playback, it would be useful to be able to copy some of the overload on the Sky box onto dvd now and again.

The sky box and laptop both have s video capability. The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5315 running an intel celeron530 with 1 gig of ddr ram.

The prob I have is being able to see what I'm doing I gues as the burn programmes wont do anything unless there is a file there to work with

Help? in easy to undderstand stages please.

Ps the laptop runs in vista home basic and the burn software is NTI
