Open the folder on your PC that contains the pictures.

Select the ones you want to move or copy (Ctrl + A to select All).

Or right click and move your mouse to select (highlight) within the folder.

Once you have made a selection a new menu will appear on the left. Two options are Move selected or Copy selected. Choose Copy and then another menu will appear for the destination. Choose > My Computer > followed by the drive letter of your USB drive and Copy away.

Jephree, Yes it all worked fine. Allthough i had to keep removing it and plugging it back in just to prove i was doing right, well done Jephree.
Of course it leads to other questions.
    1. How many photos can a 1gb drive contain?

    2. This particular set of photos, is not only on my hard drive, but has also found there way into Picassa? If I put them there i dont know how. These photos taken at differant times all of the same theme are in differant folders ( if thats the correct term) can i get them into a single folder
    Best Regards Len..

    1) This depends not only on the resolution of the camera but also the amount of jpeg compression used, and even the type/complexity of the subjects you photograph. If you need to guess up front I would be working on a guess of around 500 photos.

    2) I have never used the Picassa program so not much help there. Perhaps there is a setting within the program to "grab" all your photos. I don't know.

2a) Folder navigation is quite easy. You can "drag and drop" most anything.

    > right click on the parent folder and choose Open. This opens a window with all sub-folders and files. If you right click and hold a folder or file you can move it to another folder and release click then the option appears to Copy or Move. Copy copies. Move removes the source file or folder as it moves it to the new place.

When you use the transfer wizard you should have a choice of destination.

My Pictures is not a default but can be chosen.

Usually the last destination chosen will be the first destination offered the next time.

    Hi Leonard

When you load Picassa photo organizer you will notice it has its own search engine that scan the images on your computer and automatically sort them by date and in doing that become a part of the Picassa frame, this can be bypassed at installation.
