Unhappy Installing new anti virus software

I already have Norton Antivirus 2005 installed in my desktop, which is due to expire in 09 days from now. I wish to switch on to AVG free version software. For this shall I have to first uninstall the existing Norton and then install AVG, or first instal AVG then uninstal Norton? What will happen to those viruses which have been quarantined by the Norton over the last few months? I am puzzled, please advise.....................soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

Remove Norton and be glad you did! AVG is much better and Free!

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

Just a personal opinion on SpywareTerminator (http://www.spywareterminator.com/). It was once on the Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites list courtesy of Spyware Warrior, due to established connections with IBIS, a well known adware distributor responsible for such adware programs as Wintools, Websearch, & Huntbar.

It was de-listed it September 2006,
as the vendor involved had not been involved in the distribution of adware for many months, and as the program itself exhibited no problems serious enough to warrant mention on the Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites.

Suffice to say that if a product has been on the
Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites, albeit that it has been de-listed, I, personally, would not recommend or use it.

As stated, this is just a personal opinion.
