    Outlook express 6

When I'm on a website and I want to send a link to a friend the email appears and reads - this message has not been sent - before I address it. When I type in the recipient's name and my message I click on send and the message disappears but is never received by the recipient nor is it in my sent folder. any ideas?

    Try this:

    1. Open Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs Tab
    2. Click on Reset Web Settings -> Ok
    3. Click on Advanced tab
    4. Click Restore Defaults.

If that doesn't help try clicking start then Run... and type

    regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Also verify that IE is your default browser.

Thanks for input. I read some changes will occur after I click reset. As I don't have much experience in fixing computer problems I want to check what I need to do after I reset. What items must I reset - eg. security settings - do I just ensure it's back to medium risk? Also, what toolbars will be affected? Is there anything I need to do re. add-ons or just wait til I receive a prompt to do something? Is there anything else that I need to take care after I click on reset? Thanks for your patience.

I've just discovered the links I sent via internet explorer are going through Microsoft Outlook not Outlook Express. In M. Outlook I have unsent messages in my outbox.

I continue to use Outlook Express for sending and receiving emails.

How do I switch off M. Outlook so any link I send goes through Outlook Express?

    Thanks
