hi I need some help,I put a softweare disc in the dvdr to load a icam ,the computor froze ,in the middle of instaing ,how do I retreve it,tried rebooting,no look,

Can you get back into Windows? If not can you get into Safe Mode?

Most DVD/CD drives have a pin hole on the face which is a manual eject. Insert pin when the power is on.

hi there,got the drawer open,but the dvdr has stoped working,any ideas please,the rest of the computer is working fine,the dvdr is my main defalt,and my cd player is my secondry,and is working fine,any help please

Assuming that you are using XP:

Go to the Device Manager > click the + next to DVD/CD-ROM drives

Right click on your DVDr and choose Uninstall

Then reboot the computer. This will force XP to reload its' drivers.

To get to the Device Manager right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager
