can any one help with this please.
at my last place of work you could, under the file and folder tasks in outlook explorer click on a file (in my case an autocad files) and click on the "view previous versions" of that selected file (see attached jpeg file) and it would give you the option of viewing that file from 7 o'clock (am) 12 midday and 5pm. and in some cases from the previous day without the need for getting files from the backup system. you could open them as read only or restore it as the most upto date version if you so chose. it was not a special piece of software or an add on from autodesk. it just seems to be available though i can't for the life of me activate this facility at my new place of work. it may be something to do with settings on the surver but it is not the "volume shadow copy" facility which involves quite a convaluted method of veiwing previous versions and pasting them somewhere in addition to configering a volume on to which shaddow copies are created.
any help would be gratefully appreciated
thanks
