have you got an anti virus?
    what firewall are you using?

just connecting your machine to the internet leaves you open to a virus

have you tried in safe mode?

why don't you need an anti virus, without one you are at risk of getting a virus every time you go on the net every time you connect anything to your machine, every email you open
