Have digital cameras (KodakEasyshare and Canon PowerShot S3IS). I record video with them and load onto my pc (dell, win xp). The file name (codec?) are '.mov". When sending video to others, only sound, no video comes thru. Is .mov not compatible, recognizable ? Are there websites I can download other codecs (correct me on my terminology, please)...Is it possible to change the .mov to another name, thereby allowing the video to be sent successfully? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

.mov is a QuickTime or Apple/MAC format.

One solution would be to have the receiver install QuickTime:

Also there are converters for just about anything.
