I hope I have this in the right place, I have bought a camera, but when I come to plug it in to get the photos off it keeps saying it cant find scanner, well I use the scanner daily so I know its there, I just dont know what on earth to do I cant get the photos..I have windows XP and the camera is Praktica, and please if anyone has an answer I am not computer literate so could you answer in simple terms ..many thanks for any help,

Hi Iamachanter, you don't need to use your scanner with this type of camera as it is digital. Plug the camera in via the USB cable, and turn the camera on, if nothing opens offering to open your pictures, go to "My Computer" and look in there and your camera will show up as a new drive...and it will have a drive icon like the C:\Drive has.

Right click on that new drive and select "explore", and a window will open with all your pictures in it.

Highlight all your new pictures, and go to edit, and then copy, and paste them all into a folder that you want to save them to. After doing this, if you want to clean off the images from your camera, just open the drive icon again for your camera, and delete the folder.
