Using a trial version of a program to find out which of my software need an upgrade I was informed that I have to
upgrade my Intel(R) 82801 Bridge - 244E from the existing
version 5.1.2600.2180 to 7.0.0.1011.
Manufacturer:Intel
My OS:Windows XP Prof.
Intel 850 chipset family.
I/O Controller Hub:82801BA(ICH2).
I search both Intel & Microsoft for the new version and I couldnot found something helpfull.
Question : Does this upgrade will help my computer?
If the answer is positive how can I find out my way?

The question is are you haveing any problems with the computer. Is it running ok, are there things you wish to do and can't. If everythig is running fine then follow this rule " If it is'nt broken, don't fix it".

I agree with T_D_D here. Some of these programs are a bit 'fussy' and will try to get you to upgrade/install all sorts of things.

I would just leave it be if it is working ok
