Download SiteAdvisor: http://www.siteadvisor.com/preview/index.htmlSiteAdvisor is testing all Web sites for spam, spyware, & safety threats. You browse and search as normal and their empirical data (green=good, yellow=caution, red=bad) appears in an icon in IE or Firefox & next to results in Google, Yahoo, & MSN. Every site gets its own site details page w/ in-depth analysis. They launched a slick redesign today.
This is either an extension for Firefox or an add-on to IE. I'm trying it out now and it's pretty nifty. I found a website that installs spyware and has viruses in it's downloads![]()
/me is liking this!
OK, so i've only had it installed for half an hour but i think this is a really good idea and will save a lot of people knackering up their computers with dodgy downloads etc.
I know IE7 Does something similar but i won't use IE unless i have too.
So far this gets a big  from me![]()
Not a bad idea. But I'm waiting for the first person to fool it in to telling a user a site is safe when in reality it isn't. Not that something like this can't work, I'm just a bit leery of it at the moment.
