Does anyone have a clue as to what the difference between these two sets of instructions is -- that made Vidsters work, but Tylers not?

Seems to me they do the exactly the same thing.

Tylers instructions were for the one file only. My instructions would effect every file/folder of that type on the system.
I've noticed many times that programs like PhotoShop will not allow you to change the file association on just the one file :?

The checkbox: 'Allways use the selected program to open this kind of file' -- will apply to all files of that type (extension).

Lol, so the answer to my question seems to be: the Windows XP shell is just another one of MS's BS hack jobs.
