Hi everyone:P ,

I am getting a strange result in my Adaware Scans. The result informs me that I have compromised registry keys with "SCR" listed as a possible virus.

I run AVG Pro and it finds nothing. I run online Scans, and they find nothing. I am wondering if it is System Mechanic 6 which is writing things to notepad???:idunno:

I'm totally confused with this..........

Any help would be appreciated......

Do a virus scan with another scanner. You may have the Win32.Swen.A worm.

Hi Rob, I did......Kaspersky says I am clean.........:idunno: Any other suggestions? I also do NOT have sys restore on.........wooooops..didn't see your suggestion....I will give it a try...... Thanks..

most likely a false positive creeping in ...this issue popped up 2 years ago on the lavasoft support forums...+

Well then, I think you are clean, ignore it for now. If you notice any abnormal stuff, post back here.

Jazzman.........ummmmm...I'm not sure what that is....:idunno: ......I have Adobe PDF ......gut instinct tells me it is system mechanic 6 which changes Win startup by getting into the regsitry..........

I could be wrong, but I am now running the McAfee and so far..nothing...

Give me an idea what script sentry's are....and I can answer better.....
