I am in need of the recovery cd's for the HP Pavillion 6343 orr a copy of them.
Hiya Tony
The only way i know to get recovery CD's for a specific computer is from the manufacturer of the computer :? (unless someone else knows of a way?)
Is there a specific problem you have that we might be able to try and fix while you source a recovery CD?
I cannot get an operating system to install on the computer. Error loading USER.EXE? Have gotten a couple of other error messages but that is the main one.
HP won't release those recovery CD's anymore, because Windows 98 is considered obsolete.
If the machine came pre-installed with the OS and it is the original hard drive, would something like this work? http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-PAVILION-BOOT...QQcmdZViewItem
You could contact the seller and ask a few questions.
What does everybody else think??
If you get Belarc Advisor ( free ) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.htmlOriginally Posted by Blizey
you should be able to find the motherboard and get the drivers you need. HP use dummy names , but even so is can be found, HP do offer some drivers but the MoBo is the way to go. It's what I use along with Everest to find out what I need.
