OK, i have finally got everything i want installed, my system is clean as a whistle and running sweet 8)
Now i want to create a complete copy of my system, the entire OS, my programs, my favourites, my pictures, everything.
I'm wanting to make a disk that i can pop in to the dvd/drive if i have a major disaster and install everything back to how it is now.
What do you guys use to make a bootable image of your hard drives?
This software does not necessarily have to be free![]()
Here's a program that i use Vidster for disk imaging http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing.../?ad=A15010321Originally Posted by Vidster

are there any "bootable cd's" with disk imaging programs? (like those live linux cd's)
This is something that i would have liked too. The Acronis software might be worth trying out thoughOriginally Posted by CD Burnt

It's actually quite good, the Toshiba I have came with a Norton Ghost disk insted of a XP disk. I like this better so I can reinstall Windows any many times as I like without haveing to reinstall all the Toshiba applications and reactivate Windows(Bye bye 50 reinstall limit.)
I suggest Norton Ghost.![]()
It seems your not wrong RobOriginally Posted by Rob
The more i look in to it, the more i see Norton Ghost popping up. It seems you can burn an ISO image on to disk using Nero to create a bootable disk as well 8)
Hope it's true because that would be perfectomundo![]()
It's a little pricy, but good![]()
Ghost is okay.
Though there are better enterprise solutions or solutions which aren't gui friendly.
Please Vidster do not try symantec.Trust me on this one.The Acronis software might be worth trying out though![]()
Can you make a bootable, duplicate copy of the Xp-Pro OS with Acronis Chopper?
