    Laptop OS system

Not sure if posting in right place, but here goes. I'm hopeing to be able to buy a laptop soon, am I right that if I get a machine with Win XP Pro preinstalled I can use my retail version of Win XP Pro cd to do a clean install as long as I use the product key supplied with the laptop.

    Thanks

Oh yes......but don't do a personal hardware upgrade. :eyespop: You can use any XP CD, you just have to have a different licence you have bought. So if you have two, you use different in both machines, but same disk. Good luck.
