Bit strange, when trying to download AVG Update with Firefox I was unable to establish a connection, error message unable to make connection, timed out at one point, Checked Update Manager but could not fine Configuration butto, also checked Firewall (Sygate ) set to allow access in applications. Now it gets odd, switched to IE download went without a hitch. Don't know if this matters but was alerted to Update by Microsoft Security Centre. Hope you can make sence of this.
It's just because Grisoft's servers are so busy TDD. I have AVG7 and it took me almost a full day of trying, to update it.
I'm afraid it's just a case of try then try again.
Thanks for that Vidster, I always seem to think it's my fault when I should'nt really, the Internet is not without It's problems. :biglaugh:
I don't use that program.
You have to update it manually?
That would suck!!
I would forget about it and maybe update once every couple of months.
Then is the server was busy it would be a couple more months.
I would be getting hit with viruses all the time.
Think god for my Norton.
It updates on a daily bases by itself.
If there are any priority updates it sends you a message so you don't have to wait until the next scheduled update Ren.
I guess that isn't too bad then! As long as it would let me know I wouldn't forget itr then!

I'd rather having AVG popping up every so often than something nastier....
My AVG seems to autoconnect at startup and then periodically every so often and I've never had a problem with it tbh oh, except it doesn't run on Windows Server 2003 anymore, grrrr
