I personally tried it and disliked it. I would test it out yourself, sometimes it varies for things like this. I personally hated it, but almost everythings worth a shot!

Have you tried CableNut to speed up your connection chopper?. I don't think it will speed up downloads though, and it won't work with AOHELL apparently.

I've downloaded some huge files with this. I can turn it on and download a little each night until I have all downloaded. I can download about 110 Mb a night while I'm sleeping. Not bad eh! I can download a 300 Mb file in 3 nights. I can stop it through the day so I can surf the web and continue it at night.
A lot of people use flashget.

It is another real good program and I don't think it has a time limit. Actually I think it is a free program. It does have a banner ad and comes with some Abware. Not a lot. Nothing major to worry about. You do have to be careful though is you use an adware remover. They will think some of flashget's files are adware. Just make sure it doesn't delete them. If you do you can reinstall it.
I hope this helps!

I detest DAP with a passion. I've tried a few, the last being Leechget and it sucked too. Dosn't anyone make a simple download manager with 'resume'? Opera has 'resume' but often times it will not resume the download and I have to start from scratch. The download manager in Mozilla suite seems pretty reliable - at least I havn't had any dropped downloads.
I use Firefox's no problems![]()
First of all you have high speed Internet. When you download with a browser it isn't the same. A browser doesn't do multi parts downloads. That is what a download accelerator does to speed up the the downloads. Plus there things you can only download with a download accelerator and there some things you can only download with a browser. It just depends what you are trying to download.
