Does anyone know what java appears in the control panel as something resembling a triangle? Half black half white with a red circle in the middle and what looks like arms?

It was used apparently to view chatrooms in some place called icahts (Univison.com)

If anyone knows would they post it. If you don't have it to throw in an attachment, even just what it is or where to find it would be appreciated.

The icon you mentioned is froma installed program that uses java. You are looking for Microsoft java virtual machine. Sun java won a legal battle with MS and made them stop using the MS vm...but alot of software still wants the MS version, which came on 98,ME, and 2k and was bundled with NT4 and 95. Being MS has to stop making and distributing thier version it is getting harder to find...I posted a link in the chat lobby under cbttechsvoice OPEN for people to get it for use with yahoo java voice chat. sorry for being lazy and not pulling up the link.

Phantom, thank you for posting the link to the JVM. I installed it, but after thought I would make a back up copy for if ever this is removed from the internet. Perhaps in time to come we may not be able to get the JVM...... :?

It's getting to be a pain to find a working link to the installer. I have one I downloaded from MS a couple of years ago and the current updated installer on several CDs.
I posted a bit about MS and sun java in the post reffered to above...People are having alot of trouble using alot of software that only works on MS java...you would think since Sun just had to take over, they would make a compatible version. Used to alot of sites would pop up a error saying go to Microsoft and download the ms vm...now they have all stopped it leaving everyone guessing what they need.
