I have a gmail account and I'm using Incredimail as my pop client! I can't send any messabes that I've got something attached to it! When I had outlook express I had the same prob!! It said something about adjusting something and I don't know what it is!! Does anyone know what I need to do!!

What are you trying to send, some files will not send through mail servers as-is, they have to be zipped, also size does matter, some servers limit attachments to 1 meg , some like yahoo alo\low a 10 meg attatchment.

just my opinion, alot of people will say different, but i only use webmail...i will not download mail to my computer with clients like outlook and outlook express, or whoever made it. reason is new viruses turn up everyday, and a virus scanner (good as it may be) may miss it and then you have whatever it unloads on you.
i like yahoo mail, so much i have exactly...let me look,....2,472 of thier accounts...i also have hush mail, hotmail, excite, and a few odd ones here and there. when you want to send a attatchment to your friend/family and you upload it to lets say Yahoo mail in the message, save a copy to the sent, or whatever folder, from then on you dont have to upload the copy again, it is on the yahoo server just open it and forward to whoever else you want to have it. also if you go to your sister's house(or whoever has a computer) you can pull up your webmail and download the copy there too. it's one of those handy storage spaces on the web....you can access your files from anywhere....up to 10 megs that is.

gmail(google mail) is a 1 Gb account!! It's free but there's no limits! It's like a premuim package for free!! I don't know file extentions are allowed but I tried zipping it and it wouldn't send it!! I don't know. Let me check my account help files and see if there's something there!! It just don't understand! I have a progran that turns my gmail account into a 1 Gb internet drive. I can upload any type of file I want with that!! I don't know! Let me check first!!

try to send something and see what it tells you to adjust...kind of hard to say what the problem is and how to fix it without knowing what the error is.

I got a few Gmail invites from people i knew at devshed, and a few from people at ST&T...and a few other people, I did not sign up...for some reason i cant put my finger on something does not feel right about it. I have learned to trust my feelings. I dont use email much anyway, i store some stuff in my yahoo accounts...but i usually dont get any personal mail.

I figured it out!! They don't let you send any executable files!!

they will if you zip them, some mail programs wont send a self extracting zip file made with winzip or winrar (or any simular program)anymore either...

I can't send a zip file if it contains a zip file either!! I have a yahoo account anyway!! I recieve all my mail though my yahoo account!! I just use gmail to send mail out!!

I have not tried to send a zip file in ages,.i did notice a while back some that i had stored on yahoo were gone, i didnt delete them, they just left. I was going to send something to DMC just before i left ST&T and it was a Self extracting file, i dont remember if it was winzip,winrar,winace,stuffit...or whatever it just would not go...so i sent it through the aim messenger figuring it was a glitch i have not noticed with sp2. But like with many other features of the internet and personal computers they maybe removing the option because of the spread of viruses and many other exploits. I dont usually accept files from people..or send them unless i know them well ,...i have not had the need in ages. My home computers are on dialup because that is my only option. Tried the satellite direcway crap and it sucked so i sent it back before the deadline of having to pay for it. so people usually dont want me to send files because i am so slow. I used to get stuff at work....but it's tricky now we had so many problems that we stopped people from bringing in CDs and flash drives....i have to follow the examples i set for others. so i go to my sister's house, update and clean her computer while i fill my wish list of things on her cable connection.

I have dial-up too!! I live in the middle of the Arizona desert and I an lucky to have dial-up. If I need a high speed connection I go to Phoenix and use my brothers cable connection! I was just trying to send something to my sister back in IN and couldn't!! I just sent it through my Yahoo!!

I thought about DirectWay too and ask around about it! Everyont told me it's not worth it!! They said it was way too much money for just a little more speed then I have now! I here they are comming out with a high speed phone connection next year anyway!! I hope so!!
