Today, on my client's computer, I got about 20 events in the Vista Event Log saying 'A timeout (300000m/s) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the avg8wd service'.
What does this message mean?
It is AVG Free 8.5
Windows Vista Premium SP1 32-bit
Spybot S and D 1.6.2
ZA 8.5

Were these warnings or errors?

Is the AVG staying up to date?

Outside of the Event Viewer is there any indication of a problem?

1. These were errors

2. AVG is up-to-date and updates itself perfectly

3. There are no other problems outside of the Event Log

In general, you shouldn't be getting any headaches over Event Viewer errors, unless there is something wrong with the computer.

There isn't anything wrong with the computer, I was just wondering what that error message was, tat's all
