Question Excel 2007 Pivot Table "Comments"

Has anyone been able to insert or manage custom comments in Excel 2007 Pivot Tables?

I add comments to Pivot Table row fields in Excel 2003, which users can see by simply hovering over that row field. It's a powerful way to show vital information about the totals shown in that row.

In Excel 2007, though, it doesn't seem to work. First, I haven't been able to find how to add a comment to a row field in a Pivot Table - so I still have to use Excel 2003 just to create the comments. When opening a spreadsheet in Excel 2007 that I created in Excel 2003, the red comment-indicator appears, but you can't see the comment unless you click on the cell and carefully maneuver your mouse to hover over the tiny right edge of the cell. Excel pops its own comment up showing that cell's contents and it's headers (possibly helpful, but generally just in the way).

I've tried every option in Office Button, Excel Options, Advanced, Display, and "Indicators only, and comments on hover" is the only choice that gets remotely close. Still no dice, though.

    Any help is much appreciated!

jimr381 posted an awesome solution to this on the techguy forum:
    - Comments are in the Review tab.
    - Click on the red "PivotTable Tools" tab.
    - Click on the options button to the very left.
    - Within the "Display" tab uncheck "Show contextual tooltips"
    - Click OK.

    That solved my problem!
It led to my next question: does anyone know how to make this setting the default in Excel 2007, so that contextual tooltips do not show (and interfere with custom comments) on every pivot table being viewed or created?
