    adobe reader installation

My auxiliary offline computer works on Win98se. I receive a lot of pdf files on removable media and I can read them after opening the Acrobat 6/0 reader from my HD. However this program is not really installed on my computer. Therefore I cannot open the pdf files directly, and can see them only after opening the Acrobat screen.
I tried to install Acrobat 6.0 from the file in my HD, but it requires an installed Internet Explorer and this I cannot install without Internet connection.
Please advise – is there any way to install the reader on my computer so, that the pdf files can be opened directly from the HD or a removable disk?
    Thanks

There is a way around this, I just don't remember how at the moment, and I don't have a 98 machine set up right now.

I suggest using Foxit Reader (Foxit Software) for reading PDF files. It's free and isn't as bloated/limited as Adobe Acrobat Reader.
