Cannot get autocad from one hard drive to the other
Hi guys, I have recently bought a laptop specifically for using autocad 2008 on. I have given my old laptop to my girlfriend which has autocad 2008 installed, I was wondering if there is any way possible to transfer autocad 2008 from my gf's laptop from the hard drive to my laptop so that it will be a running application i.e il be able to just click on the desktop icon and it will open autocad. I have the installation disk but its 54x speed and the speed of the cd rom is only 24x on my new laptop it say its initialising but after that the disc stops spinning and nothing happens, the same disc though starts to install on my gf's laptop so its not the disc. please help I have spent many hours trying everything I can think of, i even tried to reformat the discs to a slower speed disc but it would only format the disc to 500 and something mb eventhough the disc says its 700mb capacity. Any help would be much appreciated.
A handsom donation will be on the way if i can get autocad to work as I was willing to go buy a oem copy.
kind regards rob.

Hi!
This is my advice.
Go to here:
Freeware download
download LC ISO creator.
Run it, and make an ISO file of the disc.
Then, go here:
- THE DAEMONS HOME
download daemon tools lite.
Daemon tools lite will let you open an iso as a virtual drive, usually K
So now get Daemon to open the ISO you made of the disc.
Then, finally, go to "my computer" and open the virtual drive and find the setup file, or alternatively right click the virtual drive and select autoplay
Hope this helps,
Paul
