I hated Office 2007. I used the Control Panel function to uninstall 2007, then I reinstalled my old copy of Office 97 that knew and loved.

..seems to have partly worked. I can get to use the 97 version of XL, Word, PPT etc, but it's troublesome....eg:

If I double click on an XL file to open it I get the pop up message:
'Microsoft Office Excel requires the file 'MSOINTL.DLL' to run. Run Setup again to assure proper installation'...this is true if I click on a file icon in XL 97 format, or an icon displaying in the 2007 format...same msg.

If I double click on a Word or PPT file to open it I get...nothing. Nothing happens. Same if I right click then click 'Open'...nothing.

If I use the 'Start', then 'MS Office', then XL, PPT or Word to open the 'native' pgm, then once into the native program go to File, Open...etc I can open and use files stored in 97 format....right now this is the only way I've found to use my 97 format files.

Help !!
