It's me again! (oh joy right?)

Anyway, I recently downloaded and installed Microsoft XP Service Pack 3 for my Dell Inspiron 6000 with XP Home Edition. The install of SP 3 went flawlessly but now when I try to run products made by Microsoft like Windows Live Messenger or Office applications, the Windows installer pops up and acts like I'm trying to install the product, with WLM I could just cancel the installer and Messenger would start up anyway but with Microsoft Office Applications (I have Office Enterprise [AKA 2007]) after I cancel the installer nothing happens. For Windows Live Messenger I fixed the issue by re-downloading and reinstalling Windows Live Messenger.

What can I do to fix my issue with the office applications so I can do word processing again?

Sorry for the double post, I fixed the issue by "Repairing" Microsoft Office.
