hi i have wrote a website and am using iis to host it it runs fine on my pc but my modem is blocking access to it from other pc's
can someone tell me how to sort it out

So let me get this correct, you are running web server software on your home PC to display your website and you want to reconfigure your firewall to allow people to access your home PC?

What webserver software are using? What you will have to do is find the firewall settings in your router control panel and allow access to your computer via Port 80 from All Users.

This isn't something I recommend though, opening up ports for all to see and access is usually a bad idea. I strongly suggest you take a look into the security options of the server software you are runnings and the implications of opening up your PC before proceeding with post.

If you feel confident that you want to do it, I'll take a look at your router documentation on the net and see how to reconfigure. Perhaps you might be able to do it yourself now I've told you what you are looking for.

thanks for your help i have opend port 80 and it should be working now unfortunatly i acidently deleted my website while i was looking for the settings :?

I don't really know what to suggest for the website deletion. The only thing I can suggest is a recovery tool such as Recuva.
