Red face WMP 11 Display Customization

My daughter just received a new Vista laptop and moved all her music from a WMP 10 machine to WMP 11 on her new laptop. She is frustrated by the user interface changes and would love to revert to WMP 10, but it is not available for Vista, is it? We have tried the customization options that we have found to only display the information she wants to see. This has helped, but we would like to know if there are other options. The main issue is the display format that shows the artist as a header for all the songs by the artist. (the artist column already tells her that) In WMP 10 that header was optional.

Is there any way to make the WMP 11 library display look more like WMP 10? Thanks.

Yes I don't believe 10 is available for Vista. I was really happy with 10 and disappointed with the 11 update at the time, but I've got used to it.

To be honest, when sorting anything in WMP11, it gives you the column heading. Just something you have to put up with I'm afraid. I quite like it personally.

A couple of workarounds I've thought of:

    1. Try using the player in Skin Mode and find a Skin that suits you using a playlist of all songs.
    2. Create a new Playlist. Go to Songs under Library on left hand side. Click the first song and hit Control + A on your keyboard to Select All. Drag the selection over to the Playlist you created. You will now have an ordered list of all your songs. The only downside, you have to add any new songs to the list manually and manually sort it. If you sort it by clicking the forums it will revert to the way you find annoying.
