Belkin Easy Transfer Software
I bought the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable to transfer my files to my new computer. It worked great.
It said in the booklet that you could transfer programs and applications with a download from Microsoft. It is called Microsoft Easy Transfer Companion. I cannot find this download online.
Did Microsoft discontinue this?
Thanks for any help.

See here. It's called Windows Easy Transfer Companion, probably why you didn't find it. About half way down is download link under 1,2,3 for easy transfer cable.

That is not what I am needing. I have already transferred all my files.
There is a program that I would like to transfer. To do that you need to download the Easy Transfer Companion.
Here is the page for it.

But when you click on the download link, it says it can't find the page.

How to use Windows Easy Transfer Companion to transfer programs from Windows XP with Service Pack 2 to Windows Vista
I can find no current download of this software. No archives either. All links go back to Microsoft who apparently have discontinued it.
It was Beta software released in '06 to help promote Vista.
It was specific from XP SP2 to Vista (pre SP1). It never left Beta and perhaps SP1 totally killed it.
I'd suggest reinstalling your programs from disks or a new download.

The program came with the old computer, so I don't have a disc. Didn't want to have to buy a new one when I already have it.
Oh well, thanks for the help.

What is the program?
All you might need is the key to reinstall it.
Belarc should show you the key:

It is a photo editing program.....or maybe I should say software?
It is Arcsoft PhotoStudio 2000. It came with my old HP computer and I just got used to using it. It is so simple to use.
I just wanted to transfer it to my new Dell.
Guess I will be forced to learn how to use Photoshop. The Photoshop was givin' to me as a gift, but it just seemed so complicated, I never learned to use it.
Or, I could break down and buy the old PhotoStudio 2000, I am sure I could find it on eBay.
Thanks again for the help.

If you have a version of Photoshop I would use that.
You will get used to it. There are many guides out there.

If the original software was bundled on an HP computer there might be / should be a Restore CD for that HP computer.
You could also try to contact Arcsoft but if it was an HP bundle they probably won't be much help.
