I have briefly highlighted this in another post elsewhere but I felt it needed a bit more coverage. Whenever I try to connect my Fuji Finepix S5700 to my laptop to retrieve photos nothing happens, I wait for a long time, I have waited for up to an hour and it does not recognise it in My Computer or anywhere else.

All of the drivers are installed and I have retrieved photos from it many times before with no annoyances, I have not deleted or altered anything for it not to work sufficiently and I can connect the camera to my other family computer with no problems.

The model of my laptop is an Acer Aspire 3692WLMi and my operating system is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.

have you tried removing the software and reinstalling it?

Just done that and it has made no difference, thanks for replying by the way.

My approach to your other issues indicates you have a Plug and Play problem on your computer.

These setting also affect your Wireless detection.

I would continue to troubleshoot your Plug and Play issues as I have pointed out in your other thread.
