I uninstalled winamp because I didn't like it, but it is still the default player whenever I try to open a audio or video file on windows explorer. What do I do to change this?

start > All Programs > Set Programs Access and Defaults

Probably at the top of the list.

Set to Microsoft and WMP will be default.

If you want to default a different player the options are probably within that player.
