Microsoft Works problems
My computer is exactly two years old, so its warranty JUST NOW wore out. It came without microsoft word/Power Point/ or Excel and had a programme called "Microsoft Works" instead.
AS SOON AS the warranty ran out, Microsoft Works will not open any more. I just found the installation disk that came with the computer, and the programme will not reinstall. At every attempt I receive the following error-message:
Error 1305. Error reading data:
E:\MSWORKS\Common\WkShared\1031\WkCalLng.dll.
Make sure that the data exists and that you have access to it.
(My system runs auf deutsch and this is the translation of the error into English).
Is there an online source to receive this data?
Is it possible that the programme was pre-programmed to "run out" after two years?
(My computer runs with microsoft xp personal edition)

Works is a "watered down" version of Office.
Here is the home page:
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/downloads.mspx
There is also this as to 1305 but for earlier versions of Windows:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=248263
What is the exact make and model of the computer?

Dear Jephree,
My computer is ASUS Pro60R, purchased on January 31st, 2006 in Frankfurt. I have begun to read through the troubleshooting guide (the second email you sent) and while the first solutions are common sense, the others seem a bit complicated. I think I will go to the SATURN store (which exists also in Austria where I live) and ask them about this. I will probably do this by Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Then I will report results to you.
