MS Office 2000 - Windows Installer?
Whenever I try to open Word, I get a message from "Windows Installer" saying:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
It then says to find an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "excel.msp".
I have tried to find this file and it appears it is not on my computer.
Thus Word doesn't open; the only way I have got Word to open is by going to Program Files, and opening it from there. The Windows Installer message does appear repeatedly, and after clicking Cancel a few times, Word does open.
With other Office programs, I also get the same messages.
When opening an already saved office file, the same messages appear.
This started happening quite suddenly. How do I fix this problem?

Has it ever been on a network?? Or installed from a network?

I think this laptop has been on a network before. Not sure about installation though it would make sense due to the installation message.
I've now fixed the above problem, extracted the files from a MS download.
But now, Office is asking for the Office 2000 SR-1 Premium Disk. If I click OK without the disk, It says to verify the location or find the installation package DATA1.MSI.
I'm not sure if I still have the disk, is the file available elsewhere?
I also cannot open Word normally, having to go into Program Files again.
