I have many differant file types that I want to join together. For example I have avi files

that I want to join together in a contiguos file. Does anyone know of any great freeware

that does this? I also have flv files that I want to join together.

Yes mate,
Get yourself a program called Virtual Dub its excellent for everything video but perfect for what you want to do, you do however have to make sure the files are identical (same audio bitrate etc.) but can do what you want in minutes.
