I have some video files that I want to 'cut' off some parts. I use the excellent Audacity software for cutting songs - what is the equivalent great freeware for doing this with video files. The files I am using are flv. I can however convert these to mpeg and then edit them. Any ideas on joining flv files?

FLV is a very specific format used for specific things and you'd need to purchase software to edit this type of video. For wider used formats such as AVI and MPEG there is free editing software available, but not FLV to my knowledge.
