I have a problem with connecting to podcasts on sites. When I follow the link of the podcast there is something like a five minute wait, and then I get the 'done' message without actually getting the file itself. However when I copy the URL and paste it into the quicktime player I can listen to the file just fine. I used to be able to listen to files directly from the site, but after I got the newest Explorer version I can't do it anymore, although it may not be related to this at all.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend downloading and installing the latest version of Apple QuickTime Player (www.apple.com) - it may be that the version of QuickTime Player that you are running isn't compatible with Internet Explorer 7.

If that doesn't help, let us know - it might be an IE7 security setting that is blocking it.

I downloaded the latest quicktime version. Unfortunately it didn't help.

Try adding that particular web site to the Trusted Sites security zone. You should be able to do that by selecting Internet Options from the Tools menu in IE7.
