Videora Ipod Converter Shuts Down Computer!

I need to convert DVD files into video files for use on my video Ipod, so for this I use DVD decrypter to merge them into one file and then videora ipod converter to convert it to a MP4 video.

I have converted 5 out of my 6 DVDs this way, but for the last one my computer shuts down before it finishes converting and it is never complete.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated, I have no idea why it does this.

Running out of temporary disk space during the conversion process maybe?

Well I am sure my computer has plenty memory but if this is the case how can I solve it?

"Memory" actually means RAM, whereas I am talking about the free space on your hard disk, e.g. your C: drive, which is something completely different. You can check the free space on any drive, e.g. the C: drive by opening 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer', right-clicking the drive and selecting 'Properties' from the menu. This will show you a pie chart detailing the amount of used space and the amount of free space. To convert a DVD, you probably need several gigabytes (GB) of free space on your hard disk.

I checked and I had 16.8 GB of free space, then I did disk clean-up and I now have 19.8 GB of free space. Surely that is enough space for a converted file from a DVD.

I would have thought that that was plenty but I'm not big on video editing or converting to be honest. I guess it depends how big your video files are. I guess the size of the source file could be a good guidance as to how much temporary space you might need to do the conversion. I'm going to move your thread to the Video Editing forum board, where there is more appropriate expertise that might help you get to the bottom of your issue.

I got the video converted after the disk clean-up, although it should of done it without the disk-cleanup because the source file was 6.34 GB and I had about 16.8 GB but then after disk clean-up I had about 19.8 GB.
