    Access 2003

I have just got (office) Access 2003...2007 was too expensive lol.

I am trying to build myself a database for the business...now I done all the nitty gritty stuff but when it comes to adding in prices for products the only 2 currenies I can choose from is $ and the euro. Now being English I need the £.

I have looked for updates and I can't seem to find anything there. I am having lots of trouble trying to find out how I use £ for my currency.

    Any ideas?

    Thx in advance

I've just looked in my Access 2003 and my currency formatting is either £ or Euros, which confirms that it's a language issue. However, there's no language setting in Access.

The reason for this, I'm pretty sure, is that it's not an Access problem, it's a Windows configuration issue. You have Windows in its default language, which is "English (US)". You need to close all programs and go into Control Panel > Date, Time, Language And Regional Options > Regional And Language Options > Languages > Details. Add "English (UK)" as another language and set it as the default language. Then delete English (US) as that's no use to you. Reboot the PC. Voila - all fixed.

Let us know if that helps

In fact, your dates are probably backwards in the US month/day/year format as well - changing your regional settings to UK will turn them round the proper way
