severe outlook 2007 problem. error when trying to send emails. ("returned an unknown error"). i can't find any solution for that and i'm really desperate.

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

i've tried to do many things but it doesn't worked.
i tried to install windows xp again and again and to make a new microsoft emails file (pst). and tried to make new profiles and many many other things.

can anyone lead me to a solution?
i want to use email but just can't.

    thanks,

I do not have OL2007 so I can not be of much help. Sorry about Detect and Repair - I should have looked it up first - it has been there in several versions of OL prior to 2007 so I assumed it would be there. You are right, it has been replaced by Office Diagnostics.

After doing some research, I was going to suggest going through the installer program, but I see that is exactly what that MSKB article walks you through.

I am afraid I am at a loss - but will keep looking.
