For some reason when my system boots up, Norton anti virus takes for ever to load. When I click on it to open it up, it won't respond or the screen only loads partially, then I have to click to close it, which sometimes it won't then I have to hit control+alt+delete to get it to close, then try a few times to finally get it to work. I uninstalled it, re-intalled it, tried to get help on Symantec web site, but still have the same problem, any one have any ideas as to why this is happening or may have had the same issues???

I havent recently installed any new programs or anything like that

What operating system are you using? Some details about your computer,CPU speed, RAM, other programs that startup, any firewall? Do you have ATI scheduler running at startup or any other video or sound software? My God Frank give us something to work with

I have seen this before when people have tried to load a modern version of Norton Anti-Virus on an old PC. The newer ones (i.e. 2002 and later) are pretty demanding applications. Most people assume that they'll go on any PC and just sit there quietly in the background. In reality, if you want to actually launch the application window, it can take forever on an under-specced machine ... but it'll normally get there eventually.

Have you recently reset your system to factory settings...if yes, that may be the reason...will not bore you if you haven't....reply if you have
