Hi, i had this nero 7 in my system but it didn't have application to write dvd video. So, i uninstalled it and installed nero 6 but from then on whenever i open nero 6 it says "Fatal erro: nero not installed properly". Even after uninstalling this nero 6, this error is getting displayed continuously whenever i open a folder containing certain types of audio or video files. How can i sort this problem.

I have installed the full Nero 7 suite a couple of times recently and I recall that, by default, it tries to associate itself with almost every time of image, music and video file. When you try to view any of those media files, it tries to launch Nero 7. Now that you've uninstalled it, those file associations may have been lost and not correctly re-associated with other programs that you have such as Windows Media Player. That might be the problem.

I would recommend re-installing Nero 6 again as follows:

1. Uninstall Nero 6 from Add/Remove Programs.
2. Reboot the PC.
3. Switch on hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options).
4. Delete all files from C:\Windows\Temp and also from "C:\Documents and Settings\Your Windows Profile Name\Local Settings\Temp".
5. Reboot again.
6. Install Nero 6.
7. Reboot again.
