1) adobe photoshop is not a help file
2) its a stand alone photo viewing and editing program
i dont use adobe photoshop althou im sure i have it but im not very familiar with it anyway when you installed it did it ask in any part of the instalation with what other programs you want to asociate it with or while you configuerd it and if you havent configured adobe then that is probably the thing because most likley you need to do this and everything else to be certain it is in working order

i meant the help files associated with adobe photoshop.

If the help file opens in Internet Explorer, then it is a fancy HTML-based help file rather than a standard compiled help file (e.g. HLP or CHM file). Help files that are in HTML are likely to use an element of Flash or Quicktime or some other graphics / video application. It might be that your PC can't view the help file properly because it doesn't have the right viewer or the viewer is corrupted.
Does Internet Explorer open at all when you try to launch the help file? If it does, then try downloading and installing the latest free Flash Player from www.macromedia.com. If that makes no difference, then you might want to try downloading and installing the latest Quicktime Player from www.apple.com as well.
Let us know if that helps

For certain softwares a blank html window opens & for certain applications the window doesn't open at all. I have both the flash player & quicktime player installed in my system. I will let u know after upgrading them.
