Font file transfer
Howdy all,
I've got to transfer a word document (wedding invitation) from my computer via email so I can print out this document on another computer with a laser printer. The only problem is that I need 2 specific fonts which are not installed on the second computer.
I understand that the fonts have to be installed on a computer otherwise it will come up as something completely different.
The second computer has restricted access so I can't physically install any extra font files onto this computer.
My question is, can I attach the font files to the email so that it will read and print out in the required fonts?
Thanks in advance,
Steve.

If you don't need to edit the document on the other computer why not make the document into a PDF

G'day Happybeaver and thanks for your reply.
I do have to edit the document on the second computer, as I've got to change the names for each invite. I think that PDF files would be too big to transfer around via email (there's 50 of them to do).

Unfortunately, there's no way to embed fonts into a Word document - if they aren't present on the second PC, the fonts will be substituted with another.
Incidentally, PDF files quite often work out smaller than Word documents, particularly where there are graphics involved. One of the main reasons for the huge popularity of PDF files on the Internet is their small size making them easy to download.

Thanks for the tips folks.
I ended up using a different computer to do the printing, and the fonts I needed were on it. All's well in the house again.
Thanks again,
Steve
