Has anyone used a screensaver maker they can recommend? I'm looking for one with optional time settings for transitions, and preferably a feature that creates .exe files (or whatever would be best for distribution through the internet).
Free or shareware. If you've used one and like it, please let me know. And if there's one that gave you hell, I'd like to hear about that too.

i used to use Screensaver Wonder, but i used the older versions. and they were pretty good. i'm sure the newer ones are as easy to use as the old ones, but you have to pay after a trial period i think?

the trial period of the old one allowed me to use all the functions though. picture slideshow with special transition effects, music, videos and all. and they can make it a simple Screensaver file, or an executable installer and such.

you can even make it a commercial product or something. locking it with serial or whatsit. not totally sure since i never tried that function. i just created simple ones to share among friends.

i just checked the latest version's screenshot, slight difference in the user interface. should be alright tho. give it a shot, the old ones were good.

Thanks for those too Tas. I've just given Screensaver Wonder a quick test run and I think it's what I'm after, but that second link you put up was interesting. Zeallsoft have some fun programs and I'll have a longer look at them sometime.
