    Camera capture question

    G'day all,
after having established that I don't have a firewire card in my PC, thanks to Jephree, and I'm now looking for some help in relation to capturing video footage from my digital video camera .
I've been looking at a certain online auction site and have found a 'USB video audio capture adaptor card'. This one has a USB connector with 4 leads running out of it (yellow, red, white and black). I assume that the white/red/yellow are the standard AV input leads from the camera and the black one, no idea?
My question is, would this adaptor be of any use, or am I better off installing a firewire card?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve.

    Thanks again Jephree,
I've just ordered one and it's on the way.
Just out of interest, what are the adaptor cards used for?

This is the first I've looked at them:

Looks like they would do what you want but their main options lie elsewhere as in hooking in other devices such as DVD players; TV; etc.

If all you need is a Camera hook-up the Firewire card will be much cheaper and straight forward.

You will also need a Fire Wire cable if your camera did not come with one.

    Thanks for your assistance Jephree.
The card comes with a cable, and hopefully it should be a fairly simple install.
If I have any drama's, I'll no dobut whack up another post
    Thanks again,
    Steve.
