Hi Everybody.

My microsoft office has stopped working, it is telling me to put my disk in but i have lost it. Is there any chance i can get it working again without re installing it? please help.

If it's asking for the CD, then that means that the installer cannot find any local copy of the installation source files. If you have copied the contents of the CD to the hard disk, then there should be an option to browse for the files on the hard disk. It sounds like you have no local copy though, in which case you'll need a CD.

If you're running Office 2000 or later, try the Detect And Repair option on the Help menu. That will probably need the CD as well but it's worth a try, just in case.

iya thanks for replying i have already tried that in the add or remove programms bit and it didnt work lol oh well ill have to buy another disk

Unfortunately, it does look like that's the only answer.
