Thanks Tassie. I noticed I was doing it a little different and so couldn't find any density etc options, nor was I painting it on (which is one method) but pressing Ctrl+D and bingo!
The "other" cloning method is better when you choose a brush and clone over as it lets you choose layers, density etc which is what you chose in the SIL pic.
I'm in the middle of a few links you gave which had excellent tutorials to cloning, removing objects and removing/inserting backgrounds. The djewel.com one is what seems to apply directly to my need here.
I'll also be giving the word removal from a banner a whip later on.
G'day![]()
Glad you are having fun with it. If you need any more help just give me a yell.![]()
Hi Tassie
Sorry to be back again
Whilst attempting cloning using this method here: http://djewel.com/TUT_cloning.htm
...I ended up not receiving the effect I was after that you see in the 3rd pic down of the lady on the bike, with green leaves replacing a little of the head section and and the X inside a circle being moved to do so. I basically get nothing happening after following instructions
I've tried it all day yesterday when I had time, and no luck. Any help to point in the right direction is appreciated![]()
Are you right clicking the image you'll be cloning from? With the clone brush selected you right click what you want to use then left click and hold on the other pic to paint it on.
I do that in so far as I understand, but what exactly do you mean when you say the "other pic"?
Do you mean on the layer?OR am I supposed to be using two different copies of the same image?
When I right-click on the image I have, choosing the layer I made, it does as its supposed to. But when I left click or left-click and hold (move), nothing at all happens.
I'll make a vid of it to show you (if I can host it someplace) so you can spot the error.
From the tut.
So you should be using 2 images, the original and the copy with a new raster layer. Technically I don't see the need for a raster layer. You can achieve the same result with the original and a normal copy. With your mouse click on your image in Paint Shop Pro.
Now press Shift and D at the same time on your keyboard to make a copy of the image.
Add a layer to one of them.
