Anyone know a way to embed video content into the message body using Thunderbird?

Well, I guess not then.....

I've just taken a look and it doesn't appear that you can add a video to the message in Thunderbird and I think that generally applies to all email applications.

I tried to insert a video clip using HTML code, but it didn't work. This is because Thunderbird is a mail program and can deal with embedded images, but it isn't a web browser with the necessary plugins to deal with flash or videos.

Well, you're right. In version 1.5.0.8 or the previous, its not possible.

However, in version 2.0 Alpha 1, version 2.0 Alpha 1 Mahowi, version 2.0 Beta 1 and version 3.0 Alpha 1, plugins are enabled and part of the package!

Which means in essence, as the developers listed there is video, sound support, the vids must embed and able to be sent this way

Now thats awesome news for me but I've tried html codes in them that I thought would generate an embedded vid, but failed.

Any idea's of what the code should look lie so I can give it a try?

I haven't tried any of those versions, so I'm not aware of the new features.
