    outlook express problem

    Hi,

I have been working in Italy and had a dial up connection to an Italian company Libero. I also have email with them as well. I used outlook express with this email and had no problems.

I am now in the UK and am using my laptop on a wireless connection from the main home pc/connection. (Orange).

When i try to check emails it asks for a password which I enter but the box keeps re-appearing. I assume that the setting are still correct for Libero it is just that not using a dial up. I have changed the setting to Local area connection ??

When the outlook doesnt work in the send/receive box it comes up with this message

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'popmail.libero.it', Server: 'popmail.libero.it', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] POP3 access not allowed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I have read some similar threads on this site but their problems seemed to rectify themselves or have a wrong setting. But I do not know which is the right settings really

    Please can you help

    Thanks

    Jo

Some ISPs only allow you to check your mail if you use their dial-up connection to get onto the Internet first. It will be expensive to do this from the UK as a long-term solution but, for the purposes of testing, are you able to connect to the Internet using the Libero dial-up connection (just as you would in Italy) so that you can test whether the mail then works?
